lying.  again.  i know this is probably not the best example, there are many more, but just for starters here….

CHENEY: Well, the question on Saddam Hussein, I think, can be and should be considered separate and apart from 9/11. But if you’re talking about whether or not there was any information connecting Iraq to 9/11, initially there was. The CIA produced the first report that came in, oh, a week after 9/11 that said, in fact, Muhammad Atta had been in Prague, Czechoslovakia, and met with a senior official of the Iraqi intelligence service at that time.
… BLITZER: So when you launched the war against Saddam Hussein, did you know then that Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11?

CHENEY: We did not base going after Saddam Hussein on any connection with 9/11. There was a history of a relationship with terror. He’d been a prime state sponsor of terror, as designated by the State Department.

 

In fact, the text of the original 2002 authorization for the war in Iraq included the text, “Whereas members of al Qaida, an organization bearing responsibility for attacks on the United States, its citizens, and interests, including the attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, are known to be in Iraq…”Cheney insisted that the president did not base his decision to invade Iraq based on “any connection to 9/11″ and argued that the CIA was responsible for the false notion that Iraq and al-Qaeda had an operational connection. 

now, i’m not trying to stick around in bad news land, but i just want to have this documented.  if i’m under the wrong impression to think that Cheney is a criminal, things like this are why.  - things HE said.  and if he ends up being prosecuted and punished for war crimes, then this is some evidence pointing to why.

now, even though it’s definitely the smarter thing to side against Bush, and has been for a couple of years now, 

i hate jumping on bandwagons,

but i just want to point out what happened and why i am personally sick to my stomach.  hopefully we can do something about it….i’d like to think (possibly naively) that Obama’s focus on job creation in America will help, because, ultimately, i feel (though i’m not economics master) that we need to be creating and exporting things, good quality goods and services, rather than importing and outsourcing that stuff.  we need to bring in the money, not send it out…if we are to rise out of debt and subsequent control by China and others who financially own America and it’s citizens’ freedoms.

first, from CSPAN – talking about the fact that we went from surplus to debt, in my opinion because we began funding a “war on terror” which was not necessary.  

the billions we spent month after month after month to get rid of Saddam Hussein, who we initially armed, and then create democracy in iraq (a stupid idea considering that our version of democracy is a smokescreen for the breadwinners/corporations to control the masses), drained our economy out of America’s wallets and into Dick Cheney’s Halliburton to Dubai. a move which saved them a ton of money in taxes (which would have helped offset our debt that they created!).  bottom line…something is fishy about Dick Cheney – see the NORAD 9-11 thing, where Dick Cheney (1st ever pres or vP to do so, was in charge of NORAD the day of 9-11, when there was also a drill planned with a hi.Jacked plane scenario of buildings crashing into the world trade center,  and then Bush and others went on TV saying they couldn’t have forseen that something like HiJackers crashing into buildings would happen.  and they were warned in advance i guess too.  although i don’t have many links to that.  i am starting to think that Dick Cheney is behind this because Halliburton got all the contracts for the subsequent “war on terror” – am i getting my facts straight here?   what we have here appears to be a false flag….http://joecrubaugh.com/blog/2007/01/18/10-false-flags-that-changed-the-world/

bad carma – who’s to blame?

unregulated capitalism, in my opinion.

here’s why… at the point of “need”, a drug addict will continue to buy drugs, without regard to how it is damaging his/her future and without installing a plan to gradually decrease the drug. it is simply, i want the drug, i will get the drug, f@#$ tomorrow. as a society, America, especially L.A. has demanded gasoline powered cars. GM, as a greedy as they see how they destroyed the LA’s public transit decades ago, are (another article here) at least created an electric vehicle, BUT no one wanted or saw the need for it. no one was thinking ahead. we, as a society, did not understand the position we’d be in today. being pushed around by oil and realizing that a dependence on oil is a horrible thing. both for our planet and when it comes to scandalous oil makers/dealers/etc…

 so, i hope the bailout contains some strict policies, i do think that someone – other than public opinion, which can be very dumbed down at times (here’s a great satirical look on that)- needs to push us ahead to sustain our planet’s well being and to make us better in the future.  i used to believe that we had this.  but i don’t really believe it now.  i have come to believe that corporations are working in the interests of profit.  and that’s destroying lives.  quality is down, prices are up.  personally i think that capitalism is the “god” that america trusts.  it’s not about serving others anymore, as capitalism once helped us do.  it’s about blinding people with paid ads and social manipulation.  the person with the most $ is winning most of the time, because they can market better.  and that’s terrifying to me.  

a note about “idiocracy” movie:

it bombed.  but i think the message behind it is very true and something we gotta look out for.

i’m seeking some legit opinions here…i realize that a lot of postings here relate to things that most dismiss as “conspiracy theories”.  but you should notice that these things have been verified by mainstream media, commission reports, etc…so, i’m not stretching out into conspiracy land without some 2nd opinions.

1. don’t attack people personally on this blog – calling other bloggers idiots, etc…this is blog is to intelligently and rationally find out what is TRUE and what we can do to make things better.  yelling at other bloggers (as so many people do on so many sites) is not going to help anyone.  

2. K.I.S.S. keep it simple stupid.  i don’t know a whole lot about politics because when things move beyond 2 paragraphs and words that are consistently more than 3 syllables it gets a little “taxing”, so please be brief and in plain english, but feel free to post links to movies and entertaining, yet educational stuff.  

also keep in mind, we should be moving toward SoLuTiOnS, try not to just stop at complaining about the way things are, try to offer a vision of how it can be and how we can get there.  right now i’m just gathering facts and getting the word out via this blog, because i’m not sure what to do about it, besides make it public knowledge.

“What motivated them to do it?” was finally asked. Lee Hamilton, vice chair of the 9/11 Commission said, “I’m interested in the question of motivation of these hijackers, and my question is really directed to the agents. … what have you found out about why these men did what they did? What motivated them to do it?”

FBI Special Agent Fitzgerald stepped up to the plate and laid out the facts, “I believe they feel a sense of outrage against the United States. They identify with the Palestinian problem, they identify with people who oppose repressive regimes and I believe they tend to focus their anger on the United States.” But this testimony was kept out of the 9/11 Commission Report and no recommendation was given to address the main motive for the 9/11 attacks.
